Offers grants to people who are in need due to financial hardship
ELIGIBILITY
You are eligible for a Relief in Need grant if you meet the following criteria:
You are an adult who lives in Tisbury or West Tisbury
You can provide evidence of financial hardship
We will ask to see documents such as bank statements, benefit statements, and bills

HOW DOES IT WORK?
STEP ONE
Complete a short application.
The application form is below. You can fill it in online and then send it to us direct. We will contact you within 48 hours.

STEP TWO
Assessment
The Secretary will arrange an appointment to meet with you and talk through your application. This is to make sure we have all the relevant information we need to make our decision and to point you to other help that may be available given your particular circumstance. At this time we may ask to see documentation to back up your income and expenditure figures.
STEP THREE
Trustees Decision
The Trustees meet on a regular basis to review applications and decide if any grant will be paid and what amount will be granted. In an emergency situation they can make decisions by email or telephone.
STEP FOUR
Payment of Grant
The Trust is unlikely to pay out cash direct to an individual. So for example we will pay a supplier, a landlord or a utility company direct on your behalf.
APPLICATION FOR RELIEF IN NEED GRANT
When we receive your application we will contact you to go into the detail of what you have sent.
At that time we may ask for sight of documents to support the information you provide.
